Pros and Cons using Screen O Matic

Hi, I'm back.. gonna share something with you today =) My students keep on asking me how to find NPSC/KSPK (National Preschool Standard-Based Curriculum) from the web. so I have decided to use the "Screen O Matic" in showing them on how to find that KSPK from "Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia".

For you to view on how I did screen recording using "Screen O Matic". It is really helpful. Starting now, I will use this to do recording especially for those who can't attend class and miss classes. 

What are the benefits of this application?

🌙It can be easily accessed from the web. Just type in www.screencastomatic.com

🌙It is free of charge. You can choose the basic free recording and all the features are very basic for us to record. You can also try CamStudio which is free for us to use.

🌙The web is user-friendly. Anyone can use it without training. It is easy as you only have minimal features to go through. 

🌙You can keep on pressing "pause" and stop your recording and continue your recording after you are ready with it. 

🌙Educators can present lessons in an engaging way to students, use as a form of assessment, or provide feedback via a screencast. 

Disadvantages?

🌌You need to make sure your laptop has a webcam

🌌You need to make sure you are prepared before doing the recording because you can't cut and paste it. 

🌌If you use basic recording, the watermark "Screen O Matic" is there. You can't delete it.

🌌You cant record when you are offline, this will be a problem if your internet connection is not strong enough.

🌌Maximum only 15 minutes for basic recording. You can't go more than 15 minutes. However, you can have unlimited time if you buy the pro "Screen O Matic".
